When fire destroyed Lennox’s True Value Hardware last November, the owners had a big decision to make.

Rebuild or move on?

After months of contemplating, owners Debbie and Kent Herrboldt have decided not to rebuild what was the city’s only hardware store.

The Main Street building was destroyed by an electrical fire, started by an overheated light bulb, Nov. 13 and has since been demolished. The Herrboldts were contemplating rebuilding near state Highway 17, but decided not to.
